Diana Hudson Kresnye of Devine Designs Chosen for “Dream Team”
Mentor Interior Decorator to Design Rooms at Lake County YMCA Dream House
Mentor, OH – Diana Hudson Kresnye makes dreams come true on a regular basis as she works with her clients to transform their houses into the homes of their dreams. As the newest member of the Lake County YMCA Dream House design team, her own dreams have come true. “The Dream House is a unique and wonderful community project that provides funding for much-needed services. I’ve always wanted to be a part of the design team and now that I’m back in the area, I am thrilled that my talents could be helpful on this year’s project,” said Hudson Kresnye who relocated back to her native Northeast Ohio in 2005.
The Lake County YMCA Dream House is the largest special-event fundraiser in Lake County history and is now in its 14th year. The Dream House is being built by George Davis' ProBuilt Homes on a lot made possible by Loreto Development Co.
Hudson Kresnye has been tapped to design both the foyer and the laundry room in this year’s home located in Willoughby, Ohio off Lost Nation Road in the new Melrose Farms development. “Our design theme is the ‘new traditional’ which translates into very clean lines and a rich, contemporary jewel-tone palette,” the dream house designer said. “I’m especially excited about the laundry room which I’m designing. Traditionally they were utilitarian spaces where, quite honestly, most of us didn’t like to spend much time,” Hudson Kresnye stated. “I’ve really focused on creating a stylish yet very functional space that creatively meets the needs of today’s busy families. I hope when people come into the laundry room they come away many ideas for their own spaces and say, ‘I never would have thought of that!’”
Both of the areas that Hudson Kresnye is designing will feature products donated by Wonderful Graffiti in Columbus, Ohio (www.wonderfulgraffiti.com). Graffiti is “words as art” and the designer says it’s the modern alternative to ho-hum wallpaper. “In an era of big-box houses, we all strive to personalize our spaces. Graffiti is a fun, creative, and inexpensive way to put your own personal design fingerprint on your home.”
Dream House tours begin Friday, June 22 and run through Sunday, August 12, 2007. Twenty semi-finalists tickets will be drawn on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dream House. The final drawing will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dream House. The twenty semi-finalists will each choose a key and try it in the Dream House front door. The holder of the key that opens the door wins the furnished, landscaped house or the $200,000 cash option.
